Discretion by design

Catalogue integrity: DIW-008 remains publicly documented but cannot be purchased because one section is absent from its supplied source. Nothing has been invented to disguise that editorial hold.

  1. 1

    Meaning before machinery

The work is interpreted in context rather than passed through literal or automated substitutions.

  2. 2

    Register and readership

Classical, literary, academic, devotional, commercial, and public-facing texts require different English or Arabic voices.

  3. 3

    Terminology discipline

Key names, concepts, citations, and specialist expressions are handled consistently across the whole manuscript.

  4. 4

    Human editorial finish

Every commissioned translation includes review for flow, clarity, tone, and publication readiness.

لكلِّ نصٍّ أمانة، ولكلِّ كلمةٍ مقام

Every text has a trust. Every word has its proper station.

Al-Maqam does not present Arabic or Islamic writing as decoration. Language is treated as knowledge, memory, responsibility, and a means of carrying meaning faithfully between people.

Commissioned work is approached with research, structure, discretion, revision, and respect for the client’s chosen authorship arrangement. Public portfolio disclosure is never assumed.

Submitting a brief is not a public portfolio disclosure and does not itself create a commission agreement.
